My professional career began in 2004 after graduating from The University of North Carolina Greensboro. I taught seventh grade language arts and social studies for six years. During that time, I obtained my North Carolina Academically and Intellectually Gifted Certification and became a Nationally Board Certified Teacher. In 2010, I accepted a position as an Academically and Intellectually Gifted Specialist and worked with elementary students for four years. During the summer of 2014, I embarked on a new journey. I became a media coordinator at Southern Middle School in the Alamance-Burlington School System. In July of 2016, I obtained my Master’s of Library and Information Studies from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. The most exciting part about my journey is that I am applying all facets of my Master’s program to my everyday life!
